I don't feel that Barack Obama has the wrong idea about abortion really. Every woman should have the right to choose, particularly victims of rape. However, to just be careless with ones contraception and/or sexual behaviour does not, in my mind, constitute a valid reason for an abortion. If a woman willingly part takes in reproductive behaviour but refuses to see the importance of contraception, then the choice of whether she keeps that child may have to be taken out of her hands. When a couple copulates, they are potentially reproducing and, hopefully, enjoying. However, to remove the reproductive element just to enjoy is ok. But, don't just enjoy without removing the reproductive potential, or else you run the risk of an unwanted child which, I believe, should be the responsibility of the state or a family that knowingly 'chooses' to adopt.
